    The pc components of computer jobs at home.

    (I thought of covering all the requirements at once but it’s a better idea to split the article in two, so fisrt I’m giving you the pc requirements for your home business).

    At this time, if you don’t have a computer then you should start looking for one. There are a lot of places where to get one and the prices drop every day. Your budget doesn’t need to be affected by aquiring a pc, just remember that you can look for used equipment with your friends, family, schools or the flea market.

    That’s the good thing about computers, that you don’t need the latest technology to start your business. Work for a while, and once you get a few dollars, buy yourself a couple of upgrades. Right now, you need to cover the minimum specifications:

    – at the start of the decade, hard drive capacities of 80 gigabytes were common; get one of this;
    – enough RAM to run at most three desktop programs at a time (512 megabytes minimum);
    – a compact disc or dvd reader;
    – a network card for your internet connection;
    – one of those old CRT monitors (not too old);
    – preferrably a new mouse and and keyboard.

    Expect to pay around 60-80 dollars for the parts I mentioned above. If you care to look further, there is a chance you can pay as little as 30 dollars.

    Don’t mind if the specifications I’m mentioning here are old (because they are, and I’m wrinting this on December 2009); you can still get the parts from computer shops and they probably have some of this parts in their original packages, so you get a pc assembled by experts at a very low price.

    If you get your computer assembled on a pc shop, your low cost computer will be between $200 and $300 dollars, and should at least include the following:
    – a hard disk with around 160 gigabytes of space
    – at least 1 gig of ram
    – CD/DVD reader
    – a network card
    – a sound card
    – LCD monitor
    – a mouse and a keyboard

    You can get more and better equipment for a hundred of dollars more. I´m talking about more space on your hard disk, more RAM which is always welcome, a DVD recorder where you can backup your data, a microphone to talk to your clients, headphones and speakers. If you´re on the $500 dollar range you can get a decent laptop that you can take with you and make presentations for your clients.

    You need something to get your work done, so don’t be disscouraged if your computer doesn’t look like the ones you see on magazine or tv ads. The quality of your work relies more on making good and timely deliveries. Meassure yourself, and do what you can to improve.

    But, get yourself a computer. Come on, you’re almost there!

    Prerequisites For Work At Home Business

    Looking back at the last two decades, you’ll see that there is an increasing disposition to run a business from home, and today, that disposition seems far from losing steam. If you’re one of those people looking to run a business from your leaving room, you need some learning to do which can be a lot of fun, and after that, you’ll get rewards that go beyond whatever economic reason you had to begin with. Most of your homework will consist of finding those products that you can market to your closest buyers; by that I mean your ow family, your neighbors, your friends, etc. Or, another better option would be to market the products online; this second options is by far, the preferred choice when looking for a work at home business, particularly if you can not invest lots of money or time.

    Starting a Business at Home from Scratch

    Now, I’m going to provide you with an example on how to get a work from home business starting from zero. The most important thing of any business is the product or service they’re providing. We’re going to find one for your business. There is a bunch of options to choose from, so keep calm and let’s just get on with it. You need to focus on what you believe and what you want to give support to. When you go to your favorite search engine, type the keyword “affiliate marketing” or “products to sell online”. If you come up with more keywords, try them. You still don’t know where the product for your home business will pop up. Once you’ve chosen your product, it’s time to find out where is the demand for it and how you will get it there.

    Put your business “out there”

    Everybody wants to run a business, but most of us lack on something crucial, and that is, marketing experience. So, how do you get it? You learn it! There are fantastic marketing techniques you can get a grasp on. Make this your priority. Getting your products or services to market on the world wide web is a natural step, since your start up market is always too small (I’m talking about family and friends). The marketing process you apply will determine how your prospects reach out to you, fulfill their need for information, and eventually buy from you. This process may sound too easy, but most of us don’t know how to do it effectively. Without the experience required to market your business, the best you can do is find a mentor/tutor that will help you get it. Again, without the marketing experience, your business won’t do much for your products.

    Important things to remember

    Do you know already what is it that you are going to be promoting? If nothing comes to mind, don’t worry, remember that you have the option to pick a business that has already made a name on the market and start promoting it. You can take a look at their marketing process and most of the time you will have to make just a few adjustments here and there to apply the process to your business, and for this you can easily obtain help online. There are quite a few companies offering mentorship on marketing methods. Some of them are widely know, like the Canadian Marketing Association, Marketing Mentor, or Marketing Profs. Go online and see how they work, what do they have to offer that will help you and your business get started, but do this before you “open your doors”.

    Once you find a mentor, it will do you real good to produce a compensation plan promoting teamwork, if you are serious about running your business at home. Of course you will get the usual advantages of your teamwork, more results on less time. Lets say for example, that you are promoting a compensation plan where whenever you make a sale, your mentor gets a cut from it. this way, your mentor is motivated financially to teach you all he knows about how to promote your business properly. You earn money, he earns money, he teaches you how to make more money for him. That´s the kind of teamwork you should be promoting since all the marketing information you are getting from your mentor has no price, and at the same time you’ll be marketing your products or services accordingly.
